there’s like one and a half minorities in these pictures. I’d hesitate to call this series an accurate depiction of Americana.

Love the pics….
these are fucking awesome, keep up the work
hipsters…all hipsters.
HAHA NICK! Definitely
these are beautiful pictures but seriosuly..its obvious what you think is american doens’t include any brown people (sorry the one pic with an asian with a funky hair-do doens’t really cut it;just reinforces a sterotype in fact). you left out some forty percent of the population and their contribution to american culture…no wonder my dad always told me that americans would never see me as american…they would always see me an asian first.
Great Photography Tutorials…
I wanted to thank you for this great read!! I definitely enjoying every little bit of it I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post…
What camera do you use?
Americana isn’t the easy, boring, highly obnoxious life of twenty-something hipsters. Period.
@Jamie
if only it were..
This is the probably the most ambitious hipster project I’ve seen to date. Absolutely boring as hell and more unoriginal in its form than any to come before it!
big fuckin hipster glasses and a nice camera doesn’t make you an artist.
stay hip!
By no means am I interested in photography in any way, but this album kicks ass.
well, it may not be a slice of ALL of americana, but it does show us a very nice narrow slice of young west coast hipsters. (i assume west coast, cause they look similar to the demographics i see running around in my neck of the woods)

What kind of camera was used to take these pictures?
all of these photos are SO good. I myself do a bit of photography, just no where as good as you! tips possibly? on snapping pictures and editing! editiing mainly, i know nothign bouat.
I really like your pics.
accurate accept not every american looks like a damn hipster like almost every person in this collection
Anne,
A piece of Americana does not have to represent every aspect of that which is America. There are no soccer moms in these pictures either. That doesn’t mean it does not represent a portion of American culture. …DUH!
I have a very similar picture to the first one in this blog….

I love your work–excellent
Hi Jaya. We titled this post poorly. Please forgive us for any offense. We made this post when we were bidding for a job for Levi Strauss and had less than 2 hours before the quote was due. We just titled it in a way we thought would appeal to them (we got the job). But in retrospect, I really wish we had named it differently. We didn’t mean to offend you or anyone else. Please accept our apologies.
i am in love with your work. it’s stunning.
this collection is truly beautiful. your wonderful :D
Awesome work. So full of life, colourful, and beautifully inspiring.
Keep up the wonderful work.
Cheers!
