Working with Textures
DuckDuck avidly pursues a spirit of creativity and innovation by constantly challenging ourselves with new styles and techniques. Today, we see photography being inundated with trite attempts at properly executing the usage of textures on pictures. It seems the market is over-saturated by generic “store-bought” textures.
Because of our desire to create unique imagery, Ally has been tirelessly working at collecting and implementing DuckDuck Custom Textures (which will be available for purchase soon!) into some of our more conceptual work. Below are some of the fruits of her labor.
Vita Fashion Show
Back in the day, my friend Anna and I started a graphic design collective together called DuckDuck and released a few projects together. It was super fun but, sadly, she eventually moved to Orlando and that, as they say, was that.
However, I’m stoked to share that Matt, Ally & I have revived DuckDuck, except instead of design we’ll be working with photography and videography.
Band: Someone Just Like You
The band Someone Just Like You approached us recently about some photos. After some reflection (puns!), we decided to use a mirror to incorporate the concept behind the band’s name “Someone Just Like You”. What followed was a fun collaboration. It was one of the most technically difficult shoots we have attempted yet but also one of the most rewarding.
